We all need time to enjoy the finer aspects of life and there is no better time to do that, than when taking holidays.

As a family man myself, living in a world where these days we all seem to have to work extra hard, I believe that we therefore cherish, all the more, the simple pleasures in life as well as any quality time we manage to spend with the family. From the beaches of Goa to the East Coast of Australia, my aim has always been to provide a better quality holiday experience and the opportunity to visit new and exciting destinations.

I am therefore delighted to be able to announce that we have added an additional two exciting resorts and destinations to our already exotic portfolio:

  • K2 at Park View, Bansko, Bulgaria and
  • Royal Kovalam Beach Club, Kovalam, Kerala.

These latest additions give members the opportunity to choose from either winter skiing in Europe or sun worshipping in Kovalam, Kerala – “Gods own Country”.

I am also pleased to be able to announce plans to build a new resort in Bali in Jimbaran – close to the famous Jimbaran Bay Beach, and adjacent to our luxurious Karma Jimbaran. These units are being designed to be the last word in modern luxury, but with the Holiday Ownership member in mind.

I fervently believe that the way to move forward is to offer a superior holiday experience to be remembered for years to come – more entertainment, fine dining and world class therapy treatment.

In this connection I am proud to announce the launch of Karma Spas on all our Resorts. Spa Curator Judy Chapman is an internationally acclaimed figure in the world of spa operations. Under her careful ‘curatorship’ the existing Spas are being upgraded and taken to a whole new level. The Karma Spa at Haathi Mahal was opened recently to rare reviews and has overnight become one of the most popular facilities on the Resorts.

The Company continues to be committed to its renovation and upgrade programme and this year it was the turn of the units at Haathi Mahal to be refurbished. Please see the refurbishment article further on in the newsletter for full details.

And finally I need to warn you that you may bump into some rather large and strapping young men at our resorts in Goa and Bali. The Group sponsors two major rugby teams – the England national rugby 7’s side and Western Force super 14’s from Perth, Western Australia.

In 2010 we are providing training facilities for England Rugby players preparing for important matches.

If you have a passion for Rugby then we would welcome you to stay at the resorts whilst such visit is occurring. They are a lot more docile than they look, so don’t be afraid to make friends if a rather large and intimidating shadow looms over you – it’s all part of the ‘Royal’ experience.

To close I would like to thank everyone involved in this newsletter and to wish you all, many happy holidays to come!
