Seven Royal holidays in a span of six years! No wonder all Royal resort properties feel like our second home; especially Haathi Mahal. Our most recent holiday there was absolutely fabulous, but then it is not surprising. All our holidays with royal are wonderful! The resorts are well maintained, the rooms are clean, the restaurants offer very good food … and we all love splashing in the pools the whole day.!

Every time that we book our holiday, we request the resort to give us a pool facing room and the wonderful staff at the resort always try to help us get it. It’s a gesture that makes us feel very special.

Last year, after all these wonderful holidays, we upgraded our membership to the Imperial and this time we stayed in the Imperial Villa.
The interiors of the villa are very tastefully done up and the big sized refrigerator and microwave are a welcome relief for any family travelling with kids.

My only regret though, is not being able to attend the yoga classes and the swimming lessons during our stay there. Being on a holiday, waking up that early seems blasphamy!

Next on our travel list - Royal Bali Beach Club, Jimbaran Bay. It looks sooooooo awesome in the pictures, I really want to travel there now. And of course, our annual Goan sejourns will continue.

Our Holiday at The Seasons Resort at Whitbarrow Village - Lake District, England

The excitement over the family’s first ever holiday abroad waned a little on receiving news of the fire in the Channel tunnel as a result of which our bookings for travel into France had to be cancelled. But all was not lost. Thanks to our Points Membership and the help of the Royal Exchange, we were able to get another booking in Europe, this time at the Seasons Resort at Whitbarrow Village, Lake District in the UK, and this more than helped make up for any disappointment .

The Holiday resort that we booked through our membership with the Club turned out to be just what the family was looking for in a foreign land visited for the first time.

A beautiful resort in a typical English countryside among the famed Cumbrian Hills in North Western England was just what we wanted for a break from the maddening rush of Bangalore city life.

The few days we spent in the lap of nature in pristine glory attired in its most beautiful early autumn colours and in the warm luxury
of a perfectly appointed cottage will forever remain etched in our memories. We wished it could last longer.

Due to the proximity of Seasons Whitbarrow village resort, to Lakes Ullswater and Windermere one could easily travel to these very popular tourist sites in the Lake District as well from the village. The towns of Penrith and Keswick within 10 miles from the resort
had lots of places of interest for everyone.

We had a great time. Thanks once again Royal Resorts!
